Text the number with a question and you get one short, plain answer. A tip on an $84 dinner, how to word a tricky email, what a word means, what to do about a flat tyre. Want detail? Ask for more and it expands. Send a photo of a menu, a label, a form or an error message and it reads it for you.

 

Assistant Textapp is an AI. Its replies are written by software, so it can get things wrong. It is not for emergencies or medical care, and it is for adults 18 and over.

 

There is nothing to install, no account to create, and nothing to memorize. It works on any phone that can text, including phones that cannot run a chat app.

 

 

How it works

 

1. Text the number above with a question, or send a photo with or without a caption.
2. You get a short answer, usually one paragraph.
3. Say "tell me more" for a longer answer to the last question.
4. It remembers useful things you mention, like your city or what you are working on, so you do not have to repeat yourself.

What it will and will not do

 

For medical, legal or money questions it gives general information and tells you to check with a professional. It cannot act in the world: it will not book, pay, call or send anything on your behalf, and it will say so.

No install, no login, no app updates. The number works from any phone, and sharing it with someone is as easy as forwarding a contact.

Is a real person texting me? No. Assistant Textapp is an AI: its replies are written by software, and it says so.

 

Do I need to download anything or make an account? No. It works on any phone that can text, with a U.S. number, and your number is your account.

 

Is my number safe? We never sell or rent your information, and we don't use your messages for advertising. Messages are deleted 12 months after your last text. Details are in our privacy policy.
