Accessibility Statement

Textapp, LLC wants everyone to be able to use our apps and this website, including people with disabilities. This statement describes how our services work with assistive technology, what we are still improving, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

 

 

Our apps work by text message

 

Every Textapp is used entirely by text message, so there is no app to install and no screen to learn:

 

  • Text messages work with the screen readers built into phones (VoiceOver on iPhone, TalkBack on Android) and with voice dictation, so you can send and hear messages without typing or reading.

  • You can text in your own words. There are no menus to navigate, no buttons to find, and no commands to memorize beyond START and STOP.

  • The apps work on any phone that can send a text message, including basic phones without a data plan or a smartphone.

  • Replies are short and in plain language, and you can ask any app to explain something again or in a different way.

  • You can choose when scheduled check-ins and reminders arrive, or turn them off, at any time.

 

 

This website

 

textapp.co is built on Wix. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which cover things like readable text, enough color contrast, keyboard navigation and text descriptions for images. We have not completed a formal accessibility audit.

 

 

Known limitations

 

  • Some images and the animated example conversations on app pages may not yet have complete text descriptions. Each app page also describes what the app does in text.

  • Some third-party content, such as embedded tools provided by Wix, may not fully meet our goals.

 

We are working on these and welcome reports of anything else.
